BLUE LIGHT CARD VOICES RULES

1. Welcome to the Community

The Blue Light Card Voices Community (Community) is operated by Blue Light Card Limited (Blue Light Card, we, us).  We are registered in England and Wales under company number 06581540 and have our registered office address at Charnwood Edge Business Park, Syston Road, Cossington, Leicester, LE7 4UZ.  The Community is hosted by Fuel Cycle Inc (Fuel Cycle), a Delaware corporation with its principal offices located at 11859 Wilshire Blvd, Suite 400, Los Angeles, CA 90025.

If you want to be part of the Community and have access to the Blue Light Card Voices website (https://voices.bluelightcard.co.uk/) (Website), we just ask that you follow these Rules which make up our agreement with you to become a Community member.

Please read these Rules carefully before you follow the link to complete the registration form and become a Community member – if you don’t agree to the Rules and or don’t follow them you won’t be allowed to join or continue to participate in the Community.

By accepting our invitation to become a Community member you confirm that you accept these Rules and agree to comply with them. If you do not agree with them, please do not accept our invitation to become a Community member. If you become a Community member and don’t comply, your membership to the Community could be suspended or  withdrawn

Your acceptance of our invitation and use of the Website signifies your agreement to its terms as well.

We can make changes to these Rules from time to time – if we do, you’ll be notified via e-mail and the changes will be effective immediately. Your continued use of the Community will constitute your acceptance to any changes to the Rules.

We recommend that you print and save a copy of the Rules, so that you know what we expect of our Blue Light Card Voices community members at all times.

2. Who Can Join Blue Light Card Voices?
We can’t guarantee that by registering to join Blue Light Card Voices you will be given membership; we do have the right to refuse your registration at our discretion. This is because some of the scientific market research techniques we use might mean that we require a specific number of the Community for each gender, age group and region and so we may have to refuse applications to achieve the right “mix”. If your registration is rejected this doesn’t mean that we don’t value or appreciate your opinion; you might get another opportunity in the future so keep an eye out!

You must be 18 years old or over to join Blue Light Card Voices and so by registering to become a Blue Light Card Voices community member you confirm that you are aged 18 years old or over. If you are not aged 18 or over please don’t register to join.

We are interested in your views as a Blue Light Card member. The Community is for individual private and non-commercial use only. You are not permitted to join the Community if your use is for business or commercial purposes.

3. What Happens When You Register?
When you register, you will have to choose a password and/or provide other registration information. Please make sure that all the information you give is accurate and up-to-date and if any of your  information changes once you have registered, please make sure that you update it in the ‘My Profile’ area of the Website. If there is any other information you wish to update then all you have to do is send an email to [email protected]. Giving us false information could result in your membership being withdrawn.

4. Your Membership
If confirmed, your membership to the Community will last for 12 months, unless it is withdrawn before the end of this period for one of the reasons set out in these Rules.

We may, at our discretion, offer to continue your membership; this is our choice and if asked you don’t have to continue your membership; if you don’t want to, just let us know by emailing [email protected]

Your membership is for you, and only you. Please do not give anyone access to your account, keep it secure and do not share your log in details with anyone. You are solely responsible for all usage or activity on your account including use of the account by anyone other than you, with or without your permission, or anyone who has access to any computer from which your account is accessible. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from any unauthorised use of your account.

If you do think that your account is no longer secure (for example, if you think someone has access to your account without your permission), please let us know by contacting [email protected] and change your password by visiting the ‘My Profile’ area of the Website.

5. Community Member of the Month
We really appreciate our community members and as a thank you we will choose a member of the Community as our ‘Member of the Month’ who  will be featured within the Community. The Member of the Month will be selected by the Blue Light Card data insights team and is chosen because they really stand out to us within that month; this could be for any number of reasons.


If you are chosen as our Member of the Month, we will contact you using the email you provided. We will tell you why you have been chosen and give you the option to complete a survey which will contain a few quick questions which will help us to get to know you better so that we can write a feature about you for the Community.

If this is something you would like to be part of, just follow the link and complete the survey and you will be featured as our Member of the Month. If you don’t want to be the Member of the Month then that’s your choice, just don’t follow the link. If you have any questions about being Member of the Month just contact us on [email protected].

6. Content
The Community is intended to give you the chance to actively contribute to the growth of Blue Light Card and so anything you post or upload to the Community, including content, ideas, opinions or other communications will not be treated as confidential and might be used and shared by us in the future for any reason. If it is confidential or something that you do not want us to use, don’t post or upload it.

7. Cancelling your Membership
Hopefully you won’t ever want or need to end your membership to the Community, but if you do visit the ‘Cancel My Membership’ area of the Website.  You understand and agree that ending your membership to the Community is your sole right and remedy with respect to any dissatisfaction you may have with the Community, subject to any applicable laws and privacy policies.

8. We’re All Part of Blue Light Card
The Community is interactive and available to other Blue Light Card Voices community members. We want to give you the opportunity to engage and share information with us and other members of the Community and are trusting you to use the Community in the way we would expect. We don’t want anything to ruin people’s enjoyment of the Community so think before you post/upload, respect the other members and please do not:
  • allow others to access, use and post through your membership account - you are solely responsible for all use of your account and anyone you allow to use, or have access to it
  • attack other people whether members or not use any obscene, indecent, or offensive language in any part of the Community
  • post / upload content which may be false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, harassing, obscene, illegal, harmful, hostile, libellous, invasive of anyone’s privacy, pornographic, profane, threatening, hateful, discriminatory or which could cause offence
  • post / upload any content that contains viruses, corrupted files, or any other similar software or programs that may adversely affect the operation of the Website or any feature of the Website
  • post / upload anything that causes us any legal liability of any kind or nature
  • post personal information (e.g. an address or contact details) about you or others
We can’t guarantee that content posted or uploaded by other members to the Community is appropriate, complete, error-free,  free from viruses, truthful, accurate, reliable, available or legal – so be careful what you use or rely on – it’s your choice and any content downloaded or otherwise obtained through the use of the Community is done at your own discretion and your risk. You will be solely responsible for any damage to your computer system or loss of data that results from the download of any such material.
You are responsible for compliance with all laws, rules, and regulations in connection with the use of the Community.

It is important that you appreciate that we do not endorse, support, encourage, verify, or agree with the comments, opinions, or statements posted or uploaded by other members to the Community. Any content, including advice and opinions, are the views and responsibility of the people who post or upload those statements and do not represent what we think.

We hope that it won’t happen, but if you do come across any content which you think is defamatory, indecent, offensive, or might breach these Rules for any reason, or if you wish to complain about any of the content within the Community for any other reason then please contact us at [email protected].
If we are notified or become aware of any content which we consider to be in breach of these Rules (or for any other reason), we have the complete discretion to remove and/or delete this content.

9. Ownership & Usage
The Community contains content which is owned by Blue Light Card, and others. This content is protected by local, national and international copyright, trademark and other intellectual property laws. We respect the intellectual property of others, and all we ask is that you do the same. Do not modify, copy, reproduce, publish, upload, post, transmit or distribute in any way any content that you have accessed through the Community.

As a Community member you agree to ensure that you are permitted to provide the content you contribute to the Community and is not copied from someone else and does not, and will not, infringe, violate or otherwise misappropriate the copyright, trademark, patents, trade secret, contract rights, confidentiality rights or any other personal or proprietary rights of anyone else or that it is posted with the permission of the owner(s) of those rights. You warrant that you own the intellectual property rights in the content you post or upload. In consideration of your membership to the Community, you agree to grant us worldwide, irrevocable, sublicensable, transferable, perpetual, royalty-free, exclusive rights and license to use your content for any purpose.

10. Legal
We choose to give you this membership to the Community and it is free of charge.
We do not guarantee that the Community or any content on it, will always be available or be uninterrupted.

We can suspend or withdraw your membership at any time for any reason, or restrict the availability of all or any part of our Website.

Your failure to follow these Rules could, at our discretion, result in the suspension or withdrawal of your membership to the Community We are not obliged to provide you with notice of any suspension or withdrawal, but if necessary we may post notice on the Community forum.

11. Our Liability to You
We are not liable to pay you compensation for any loss or damage you suffer which is not reasonably foreseen by us and/or is your fault or that of another Blue Light Card Voices community member and which relates to any content posted or uploaded by you or any other Blue Light Card Voices community member.

By registering as a Blue Light Card Voices community member and agreeing to these Rules you acknowledge that the Community is provided “as is” and to the extent it is lawful to do so Blue Light Card expressly disclaims any and all warranties, express and implied including but not limited to warranties of accuracy, reliability, non-infringement of intellectual property, fitness for purpose or any other warranty, condition, guarantee or representation whether in oral, in writing or in electronic form, including but not limited to the accuracy or completeness of any information contained in or provided by the Community.

To the extent permitted by law, Blue Light Card shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, special, consequential or exemplary damages allegedly sustained arising out of this agreement, the providing of the Community or any of the content within the Community regardless of the type of claim or the nature of cause of action, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Nothing in these Rules will exclude or limit Blue Light Card’s liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation by us, or any other liability which may not be excluded or limited by law and nothing will affect any relevant consumer rights.


12. What Laws Apply?
These Rules and the agreement they create between you and Blue Light Card and all claims arising out of or in connection with them are governed by the laws of England and Wales and Blue Light Card. As a Community member you agree that the Courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction to hear any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms including non-contractual claims.
